Devanados es una serie de obras abstractas textiles – una conversación protagonizada por colores y fibras y luz.

Divergence es una meditación sobre la belleza de la naturaleza, y el tiempo.

Utiliza una paleta de colores naturales, con un sólo color sintético.  Nos hace concentrar nuestra atención y cuestionar la divergencia hacia materiales y colores sintetizados por el ser humano.

¿Divergencia es la belleza, celebración y singularidad de Diferencias o la Disonancia que cambia el orden convencional y establecido?

¿La misma creación de etiquetas realza, disimula, o crean categorías?

¿Sin el conocimiento de color natural y sintetizado, es posible diferenciar entre lo natural y lo sintético?

Y con una planeta en una crisis provocada por el ser humano, cuando asignaremos los pequeños cambios en el día-a-día a la divergencia que caracteriza el ser humano de otros animales y el eventual destino de todas las especies?

English Translation:  Windings is a series of abstract textile panels – a conversation between colour, fibre and light.  A palette consisting of a multitude of natural colours extracted from nature hides just one synthetic colour but can this difference be seen by all beholders?  What is the nature of visual divergence?  Does it in fact deceive and hide what we have in common? Divergence is a meditation about colour in nature, and the synthetic copies, versions that humans have created.  Is there dissonance or difference between the natural and the man-made?  How is difference perceived and felt?  Is it a matter of finding singular beauty or feeling a disturbance in established order?  And how does the very creation and aportation of labels bring into being categories of difference?  Without labels is there still difference? 50 x 35,5 x 1cm.  Natural wool with hand-extracted natural dyes, linen with indigo, linen with synthetic dye, wood panel.  This piece is delicate and requires careful framing and care.
